Happy Holidays!

It you're a Canadian kid, a new study suggests the best place to be at Christmas is Saskatoon. The University of Toronto study ranks cities in North America based on the number of children, the number of toy and candy
stores per capita, and the likelihood of having snow on Christmas Day. Saskatoon came in at number one in Canada and eighth overall. Topping the list was Logan, Utah. True story!

This story comes to me from the Canadian Press! I just wanted to pass it along.

Remixes Revenge/10 Years of Music

Everywhere I go I see a remake of this song or a remix of that song. Sometimes these can be awesome or they can become something makes you want to rip a Barbie head doll off and sling shot it with your Stretch Armstrong. For example a singer I have loved over the past few months, Nicki Minaj, recorded Barbie Girl and sampled...... well Barbie Girl by Aqua. I was less than a fan of that song. On the flip side there are great remakes and remixes out there. Check out DJ Earworm on Youtube. I am still loving this song from last year.

With another year over I look back at the past decade of music. The 50's were the "Birth of Rock and Roll". The 60's can be called the "Birth of Pop", with the Beatles, The Band, Woodstock and more. 70's were the Disco era. The 80's were all about rock. The 90's took grunge and punk out of the basement and put it center stage. What can be said for the 2000's? Will this be the decade of crossovers? So many Pop singers are being played on country stations. While pop stations are playing everything from country to Hip Hop. With hip hop hitting the mainstream Auto-Tune has been used more and more. If the 2000's are known as the Crossover era what will we see in 10's?

As I have been doing for the few decades I will just listen to what ever peaks my interest. Looking forward to seeing what a new year and a new decade will bring.

The Game Has Been Lost

I staff a youth camp every summer called the SCYP or Saskatchewan Co-operative Youth Program. I have been taught many things through my many years attending this camp. But one this that always seem to haunt me is "The Game" It seems meaningless right now but just try not to lose. Good luck ha ha ha

With the Grey Cup just around the corner what are your game rituals? Do you wear only certain clothes? Eat only certain foods? or do you just do what our listeners did and sing "Green is the Color"? I hope you all enjoy this little clip of awesomeness! Enjoy the game and cheer on the Green and White!!

Quick Call my iAndroBerry

I was told to check out this comic. I laugh and shook my head. The person who sent this too me is anti-Blackberry and pretty much pro anything that isn't available to most people (Android phones that haven't hit the market, iPhone that isn't available in our area/SaskTel ect.). So while I am enjoying my Blackberry Storm 2 and able to do everything I need and more he keep telling me how horrible it is and throws out "tech lingo" that I really don't care about because....well my phone makes calls and I can pretty much use it instead of my computer most days. Anyways my point is this comic is pretty damn true. But I have no ambition to change over to Android or iPhone in the near future. Besides it's a Canadian Company being ran by a guy who wants to bring an NHL team to Canada. ;)

Sleeping Bed....I mean Bag.....I mean Bed?

So in my random searches through the World Wide Web this morning I stumbled upon a crazy awesome bed/sleeping bag hybrid thing. How sweet would it be to have a bed you can just zip up instead of making it! You just need to get over the face that it looks creepy....in a kind of awesome way!! If white isn't your color then don't worry it's reversible. But make sure you're ready to spend a little bit for this one of a kind bed. The price tag is $639.00.

Movember!! Changing The Face Of Men's Health

Even though a lot of people Movember as a reason or excuse to grow a mustache once a year there is actually a reason this "month" exists. It is to raise funds and awareness of prostate cancer. According to www.movember.com there are lots of fun things you can do. The one I saw that really interested me is hosting a Mo Party. You can host a Mo Party at work, home, the local pub, or pretty much anywhere. The Mo Party pack contains Man of Movember Sash, Miss Movember Sash, Posters, Donation Boxes, Party Guide, Style Guides, Wristbands, Pins, Stickers. Here is the link to the pack http://ca.movember.com/events/mo-parties/ .

Me for the first day of Movember!!
